Breathtaking Retained Earnings Cash Flow
If run the report for only August 2017 the Retained Earnings amount does not appear in the report.
Retained earnings cash flow. RCP is a measure of the cash available for reinvestment. Generally a large amount of retained earnings is regarded as a sign that the company has done well and is reinvesting its profits in itself. Has anyone come across this before and do you know why the Retained Earnings amount would be appearing in the Statement of Cash Flow.
If a company decides to keep a larger part of its net income for reinvestment then it will have less to pay in shareholders dividends and vice versa. This is the same scearnio if I run the reports in the 201617 year. Retained earnings is shown on the balance sheet under the owners equity section.
Retained cash flow RCP is the net change in cash for the end of a period subtracting such outflows as cash expenses and dividend payments. It does NOT reflect cash incash out.
